GOOD to know!

The hut is accessible year-round via a forest road.

Winter: Depending on road conditions, a 4×4 vehicle and/or snow chains are recommended. In winter, you can conveniently park at the signposted lot opposite Hotel Silbertal – above the Turmalin Hut, essentially at the end of the ski route. From there, it’s about 100 m (plus a few altitude meters) to the hut.

Summer: Parking is available directly in front of the hut. All types of vehicles are generally suitable, except those with very low ground clearance.

Important navigation tip: Please enter the address of Hotel Silbertal, Gaislach 7, 6450 Sölden into your GPS. This is also where your reserved parking spaces are located. Heading straight for the hut in your navigation system may lead you into a dead-end, ski slopes, or rough terrain.

Sustainable travel: Buses run regularly to Sölden every 30 minutes. From there, the Alm Taxi takes you to Gaislach Alm – relaxed, stress-free, and environmentally friendly.

For a delicious start to the day, you can order fresh bread rolls at the neighbouring Hotel Silbertal until the day before. In the morning, simply pick them up fresh from the oven. All the details can be found in the guest folder at the hut.

Check-In: From 3:00 PM, you can access the hut. Entry is contactless via a key safe. You will receive your personal access code once we have all the necessary information for guest registration.

Check-Out: On your departure day, we kindly ask you to leave the hut by 9:00 AM at the latest.

The final cleaning is not included in the price and is charged at €200 per stay. We kindly ask you to leave the kitchenette clean, wash and put away dishes, dispose of any food leftovers, and separate the waste.

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the hut.

In summer there is a small kettle grill on the alp. Please bring your own barbecue briquettes or charcoal.

All rooms are heated via the central heating system. In the living area, the cosy tiled stove provides both warmth and atmosphere.

There is plenty of wood available for heating.

Electricity is readily available for all your devices.

We ask for your understanding that smoking is only allowed outside!

The hut is bookable all year round.

Our prices are per week, excluding local tax and final cleaning.
The local tax of €5.00 per person/night – which gives you access to a range of benefits throughout the valley – is charged separately. Children and teenagers under 15 years of age are exempt from the local tax.

Cancellation Policy (from 01.10.2022):

  • From 60 to 31 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount.

  • From 30 to 8 days before arrival: 70% of the total amount.

  • From 7 days up to the day of arrival: 90% of the total amount.

  • In case of late arrival or early departure: 100% of the total amount.

  • Deposit: 40% due upon booking confirmation.

These conditions apply in case of cancellation by the guest – deviating agreements to the AGBH 2006, points 5.5 and 5.6. The right of withdrawal under §18 Abs. 1 Z. 10 FAGG does not apply. Except for the cancellation policy mentioned above (points 5.5 and 5.6), the general terms and conditions for the hotel industry apply.

Booking changes and cancellations are only accepted in writing.
To avoid unnecessary costs, we recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

Just click and go: with our partner Sporthütte Fiegl, you can book your ski rental online – fast, convenient, and at discounted rates.

Direct access to the ski lifts cannot be guaranteed depending on snow conditions. However, from Christmas until the end of March, it is very likely, allowing you to start your day straight from the hut onto the slopes.

At Chrisanten Thaya, crystal-clear water flows straight from our own spring – no need to carry bottled water. For a sparkling twist, a SodaStream with plenty of carbonation is available.

A small contribution to nature, a big pleasure for you.

To make your mountain mornings perfect, we also provide plenty of coffee beans – so you can enjoy fresh coffee exactly the way you like it.

Together with our immediate neighbours, Hotel Silbertal, we’ve arranged for you to enjoy daily access to a small but exquisite wellness area from 6:00 PM – simple, convenient, and just a few steps from the hut.

In the textile/family area, you’ll find a Finnish sauna and an infrared cabin.
The textile-free area features a bio sauna, a steam bath, and a Finnish sauna with panoramic windows offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. For the perfect cooldown, a mist shower with 4 °C water provides a refreshing experience.

The new highlight: the infinity outdoor pool.
Heated to a comfortable 33 °C and powered partly by solar energy, the pool offers uninterrupted views across the entire Venter Valley, all the way to the 3,400 m high Talleitspitze – a panorama of roughly 14 km.

And the best part:
You won’t get lost in underground corridors. The wellness experience begins naturally – with a two-minute walk under the starry sky from our Thaya down to the wellness area just a stone’s throw away.
From our terrace, it almost feels like you could step straight into the pool.

To secure your booking, we kindly ask for a 40 % deposit.

The remaining amount, including the security deposit, final cleaning, and local tax, should be transferred to our bank account 14 days before your arrival.

After proper waste separation and undamaged handover of the hut, the security deposit will be refunded to your designated account.

Our prices are per week, excluding final cleaning and local tax.

The local tax is €5 per person/night (children and teenagers under 15 stay free) and includes numerous benefits that you can enjoy during your stay in the valley.

Travel Cancellation Insurance

To protect yourself against potential cancellation costs, we recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

"Chrisanten" derives from the father of the builder and grandfather of the current owner of this rustic hut - Chrisant Klotz. Thaya is a colloquial term for an alpine hut (where in earlier times people and animals lived under one roof).

Mountain pastures, also called mown pastures, are meadows on mostly very steep slopes in the high mountains. They are unsuitable for grazing, but represent an important additional area for mountain farmers to obtain hay for their cattle. This form of haymaking is called wild haymaking. (Source: Wikipedia)
